Do you want one of Sweden's most important jobs?

Developing the electricity grids is one of society's major issues right now. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our electricity grid and its operations to the next level!

At Elnät Drift, we develop and manage the operation of the electricity grid in line with the energy transition. We have few interruptions compared to other electricity grids in the country. When they do occur, we are quick to restore power supply, thanks to good cooperation between our control center and the field staff of the service department. We are also the ones who coordinate the work planning for various tasks that need to be done on the electricity grid.

We also collect measurement data from Jämtkraft's electricity grid and district heating customers. We ensure quality and report these values, which form the basis for invoicing. We manage and develop systems for energy measurement. We regularly check electricity meters and measurement systems according to applicable laws and regulations.

About the job

As an Operations Engineer within Elnät Drift, you will hold two different roles where you act as an operations coordinator in a back-office environment and as an operations leader in the control room. The distribution between the role of operations coordinator and operations leader is approximately 75% and 25% of a full-time position.

As an operations leader, you are operationally responsible for the operation of our power system from the control room and will be part of a rotating schedule with on-call duty. You are the Electrical Operations Leader responsible for electrical safety, monitoring, and controlling the electricity grid to ensure good delivery quality to our customers, as well as managing contacts with field staff. In the long term, you will take on on-call duty within this role.

As an operations coordinator, you work broadly in our planning process to ensure that planned work on the electricity grid can be carried out safely and with good delivery quality to the end customer. You are responsible for ensuring that the operational work has good foresight and situational awareness of what is planned.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent. We see that you have at least a few years of work experience.

As a person, we believe you are analytical and meticulous in your work approach. To succeed in the role, you need to take great responsibility, be structured, and be able to drive development independently as well as in a group. We believe you have good communication skills in both speech and writing, as well as good collaboration skills since you will be working with contacts both internally and externally.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Our offer

With us, you will be part of driving the development towards a more sustainable society, in an industry that is a prerequisite for our welfare. We work together in safe teams where we dare to try new things, grow, and succeed. At Jämtkraft, you are important. We think long-term, invest in you, and want you to thrive and help us move forward. We will equip you with the skills you lack. Just come as you are, because this is where you want to be!
